Meet Cute Pullover

A "Meet Cute" is a term for the moment in a romantic comedy where the leads first meet--think Bridget Jones and Mark Darcy being thrown together in their ugly Christmas jumpers. This pullover reminds me of the warm and cozy feeling of my favorite romcoms. Specifically, it has that plush, lived-in feeling of the knitwear in those classic Nora Ephron movies that are forever my Sweater Goals. 

Knit from the top-down with a raglan construction, the Meet Cute Pullover is a timeless design with some playful details that set it apart, including a deep, dramatic henley neckline and a fun puff raglan stitch that highlights the squishy half-fisherman's rib pattern on the body.

**Sizes**

Each size corresponds to a finished bust circumference of 102.5 (110.25) 120.5 (128.25) 138.75 (149) 159.25 (169.75) 180cm or 41 (44) 48.25 (51.25) 55.5 (59.5) 63.75 (67.75) 72in.

Note on choosing a size: I recommend 25-35cm or 10-14 inches positive ease with this garment, so the above listed sizes are designed to fit an actual bust measurement of around 73.5 (83.5) 94 (104) 114.5 (124.5) 134.5 (144.5) 155cm or 29 (33) 37 (41) 45 (49) 53 (57) 61 inches. This means that if your bust measures 94cm/37in, you should choose Size 3, which measures 120.5cm/48.25in which will have 26.5cm/11.25in of positive ease. **Gauge**
15.5 stitches x 24 rows per 10cm/4in in half-fisherman’s rib, on 5.5mm (US 9) needles, or size required to meet gauge, blocked. Note: when knitting half-fisherman’s rib, you are knitting into the row below on half your stitches, so your row count will appear cut in half.

**Yarn**

of Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt (91 meters per 50g) held with 6 (6) 6 (6) 7 (7) 7 (7) 7
balls of Filcolana Alva (175m per 50g). The sample is knit in Peer Gynt Petiteknit in the Shade ‘Poppy’ and Filcolana Alva in the shade ‘Tangelo Melange’.

**Needles**
5.5mm (US 9) circulars, (80-100cm/32-40in) for the body and sleeves (or size required to get gauge) 
4.5mm (US 7) circulars, (40cm/16in and 80-100cm/32-40in) for the collar and hem, and double pointed needles for the cuffs (or 2 sizes smaller than the needles you use for the body and sleeves).

The Meet Cute Pullover knits up quickly on 5.5mm needles, but the half-fisherman's rib stitch can be tricky for beginner knitters. While the stitch sequence itself is easy (and, in my opinion, fun!) it is almost impossible to frog back without unraveling the entire project. Because of this, I highly recommend putting in lifelines every few rows, which will allow you to frog back to those points if you make a mistake.
