Charm Hat

I like to think of knitting as it’s own kind of spellwork, and this hat proves that. The simple, repetitive pattern creates such a plush, squishy fabric and the process of knitting them is downright addictive. It truly feels like magic.

The Charm Hat features a wide, cabled brim with two options for the ribbing, and an all-over texture pattern on the body that is easy to memorize and so fun you’ll be surprised how fast it knits up! You’ll want to knit one for everyone you know.

Sizes:
Baby: 38.75cm/15.25in
Toddler: 43cm/17in
Child: 45.75/18in
Adult Small: 48.25/19in
Adult Medium: 50.75cm/20in
Adult Large: 53.5cm/21in

Note: The sizes listed above refer to the circumference of the hat un-stretched. I suggest choosing a size that is approximately 5cm/2in smaller than the head of the intended wearer for a snug but comfortable fit.

Gauge
16.8 stitches x 20 rounds per 10cm/4in on 4.5mm needles in body pattern or size required to meet gauge.

Yarn
1 (1) 1 (2) 2 (2) skeins of Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt.
The sample was knit in the shade Dark Blue (6062).

Needles
The pattern is written using small circular needles and magic loop, but can be worked using double pointed needles, depending on your preference. You’ll need 4.5mm needles, or size required to meet gauge.
